In short

The single biggest environmental lever a forwarder actually controls is how full the container is, which is why consolidation is treated as an environmental practice rather than only a commercial one.

  • Fewer part-empty containers means fewer sailings for the same cargo

Environment

Four things we do, and what each one is worth

Measurable where we can measure, and labelled as a target where we cannot.

LCL consolidation

Optimising container space so fewer boxes sail part-empty. This is the lever with the largest effect and the one that also saves the client money, which is why it comes first.

Packing materials

Single-use plastics such as bubble wrap phased out in favour of biodegradable and recyclable alternatives — paper-based cushioning, recycled cardboard. Reusable crates offered for high-value items.

Carbon offsets

Emissions calculated for every sea and air shipment, with the option to offset through verified Indonesian reforestation and renewable energy projects. The stated goal is 100% carbon-neutral shipments by 2026.

Sungai Watch

A portion of profits funds Sungai Watch, the Bali-based organisation running river barriers and cleanup operations. This is a third-party claim: ask us for the funding record if it matters to your decision.

Community, and where the money goes

We work in Bali under an Indonesian parent, so this part is not charity, it is the operating model.

  • Local employment

    Over 90% of the Bali team — drivers, packers, administrative staff — hired from local communities, with safety certification and English-language training provided. All staff enrolled in BPJS.

  • Balinese artisans

    Pro-bono logistics consulting and preferential export rates for selected artisan cooperatives, so wood carving and silver-smithing reach export markets without a middleman taking the margin.

  • Banjar waste schemes

    Community waste collection and recycling programmes co-funded with the banjars in the areas we operate in.

Operational waste from warehouse and office has fallen 40% against landfill over two years. That is our own figure from our own records, not an audited one.
